What You Do in Sales

Sales is a varied industry with several main areas of work. Besides obviously selling products you will be helping your clients and prospective clients by helping them develop solutions to tackle their issues.

We work with Graduates that have something extra, something that sets them apart from the crowd. It’s an attitude, an approach to life, and it’s about making the most of the opportunity you have been given.

No matter what your skill set, family background or University degree, the SuperGrad Programme will help unleash your potential by giving you all the skills you need and showing you how to harness these skills to become the best you can be.

While our clients vary in culture, seniority and sector expertise, most are relatively small entrepreneurial firms seeking outgoing, business-minded candidates with underlying tenacity and drive, and possessing superb communication skills.

Selling will be the main part of your job. You will be calling existing clients and promote new and exisiting products, or negotiate to renew existing contracts. You will understand the market you work in  by doing regular research and understand the needs of your clients by maintaining regular contact.

A big part of your day-to-day role will be consulting. You will work together with your clients to develop plans that ensure their needs are met. Unlike consultants in other industries, you will be client-facing straight away and thus gain valuable business experience.

Business Development

Working in the sales industry often means you run a desk like it is your own business. You will be responsible for generating new business and having a strategy for this. You will meet with existing and new clients to build strong relationships, and supporting and liaising with these clients throughout the process.

Account Manager

Account management is vital, maintaining warm accounts by developing long-term relationships and promoting products to a range of clients by contacting key business executive and stakeholders. You will be the point of contact for your clients and ensure you deliver products and solutions on time and effectively.
